My name is Raven, I grew up in Alaska, and now currently reside in Seattle. I find that cooking calms me, reading inspires me to write more, and crafting helps open up my imagination and creativity for the tangible. I find great pleasure in cooking for my friends and family, and am considered the “mother hen” of my twenty/thirty-something group, for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to me reminding my roommates to turn off the kitchen light when they’re finished. :P
If I’m not on my computer writing, finding inspiration or looking up recipes, you’ll usually find me playing with my dogs, having one of my “Midnight Baking Sessions”, or just generally trying to get out of my head and out into the world!
The Crafty Raven is a blog (trying) to chronicle my thoughts, trials, successes and sources of inspiration in relation to my love of crafting, cooking, baking, and the other leisures of life. I would be thrilled to find a way to make a living by doing the things that I love, but I’m just as equally thrilled to be successful at having leapt into the unknown and seeing what’s on the other side.
I currently have an Etsy store containing my handmade greeting cards, and hope to expand it in the future to include new handmade items!
